The satellite symposium will educate physicians on the latest thinking in management of patients with HIV infection. In the last six months, important, new clinical data on darunavir, TMC125 and TMC278 (which will be presented during the Congress) has the potential to alter future HIV management.
The first presentation will provide clinicians with an overview of the evolving challenges of managing HIV infection. It will also provide an opportunity for clinicians less familiar with the three products to hear sufficient background so that they are able to understand the data from these new clinical studies in a balanced context. Each of the following presentations will then provide an overview of the latest clinical developments and data by treatment segment.
After the presentations, a panel discussion will provide each of the attendees a forum to ask any questions regarding the data and gain insights from the panel on how these treatments may be incorporated future clinical practice. This discussion will also allow clinicians to gain knowledge from the expert panel on other areas not addressed in the presentations.

The satellite symposium's aim is to inform physicians on new data on darunavir, TMC125 and TMC278 allowing them to better respond to the clinical challenges they face. The focus will be on the management of both treatment-naïve and treatment-experienced patients with HIV infection, in the context of existing and other new treatments.
The panel discussion is intended to allow the presenters to share their expert knowledge and their latest thinking on the management of HIV with the attending physicians – the content will depend on the questions posed from the floor
